Great fights coming August 20, 2009, at the indoor (freezing-cold air-conditioned) studio of CTN. The night includes a 3-course dinner catered by The Cambodiana Hotel and free-flow beer. Tickets are $50.

- Sen Bunthen v Ervant “The Russian Wolf” Atagyan
- Charlie Gilispie v Vorn Viva
Domink Zidov was on the first Contender Asia. He placed sixth. According to his fighter bio, Zidov holds three titles: Swiss champion, Swiss Sanda champion, Issan champion. His is 28 years old with a record of 33-13 with 28 knockouts.
“The Russian Wolf” fought Bruce “Precher” Macfie in April, losing by split decision. According to his fighter bio he holds four title: amateur world champion, 2006 croatia, wmc intercon champion, 2007 singapore. He is 20 years old with a record of 18-4 with 7 knockouts.
Not much is known about Charlie Gillespie.
Thun Sopea, 26, from Svay Reing, is among the greatest all time fighters in Cambodia. He has beaten everyone of note, including Chey Kosal and Meas Chanta. Sen Bunthen, 27, from Kampong Cham, is of of the hottest fighters right now in the middleweight division. Most recently, he has beaten Chey Kosal and Ot Phoutang twice. Vorn Viva is the ISKA world welterweight middleweight champion.

when did CTN get an Indoor stadium?… ahah zidov is fighting :) . but Thun Sophea should win. is he really only 26? he should be like 28…29 now. I like how not much is know about Charlie Gillespie.

it’s not an indoor stadium per se; it’s their studio, where they film all their, um, studio stuff.
26 is what Sophea said.
Gillespie was on the undercard of the Irish elimination series for the Contender Asia. He’s apparently a pretty tough Irish fighter. That’s what i could find on the internet, anyway. Like the other two fighters, Gillespie also fights out of WMC Lamai in Koh Samui.
They should all be terrific fights, I think.
