The big fight this weekend is May Sopheap and Sen Bunthen at TV5 on Sunday. Elsewhere, on Friday American Alex Scarborough will make his professional kick-boxing debut against Di Somrath. Fighting at the announced wieght of 80 kilograms, these guys are heavy-weights by local standards.
Kao Bunheng returns to the ring after a long layoff in the main event Friday. He faces Pich Sombath. The pair have fought many times. Bunheng usually wins, but coming off the layoff, and perhaps slightly under-trained, Sombath is the favorite Friday.
Leap Samnang v Hul Dara will be a good matchup up two top-notch fighters at 57kg. On Saturday, all eyes will be on Mun Seyla, a rookie under the tutelage of Chuon Samnang. Young and talented, he is an up-and-comer to watch. Card at CTN on Saturday is solid throughout. The main event between Reachesay Chanra and Sok Sovan should be an action-packed affair, as the two 57-kg scrappers are both fierce, unrelenting fighters. Sovan is from the Koh Kong klan; Chanra traines with Nuon Soriya, who is slowly making a name for himself as a trainer in addition to master student of the Cambodian fight science.
