If you could only be one place this weekend, that place would have to be TV5 on Sunday to see Auth Phutang against Sen Bunthen. The two first met March 29. Sen Bunthen surprised a lot of people by winning. Was it a fluke win as some have suggested? We will know Sunday. On the undercard, Po Vannsak v Van Chanwait should be a good matchup as well. Elsewhere, Van Chanvey against Les Tuk promises to be a war. If you’re looking for an excuse to get out to the new TV5 stadium in Takmao, it does not get any more tempting than this. The rematch between Kao Roomchang and Long Sophy on Sunday at CTN should also be good. Kao Roomchang is, in my estimation, one of the most exciting fighters out there today.
If you’re rooting for the home team — that would be Angkor Youth Boxing Club — Suang Panya is fighting on Saturday at CTN. Payna has won something like nine of his last 10 fights.
KEY: Red vs Blue; winners listed in italics; decision victory unless noted otherwise.
