Kun Khmer Champion, part II
Everybody got together this morning for the official kickoff to “Kun Khmer Champion,” the CTN reality series based on Golden Boy Production’s “The Next Great Champ.” I’m still trying to put all the names to faces, hopefully over the weekend. The man in the orange shirt you might recognize.
The first show airs tomorrow, Saturday, at 1:30 pm Cambodian time. According to Ma Serey, the host and producer, the first 2 to 3 episodes will lay the groundwork for the following 12 weeks of fights. The first fight is scheduled for mid to late March. Fights will then happen every Sunday until one Kun Khmer Champion is left. The winner will take home a new moto and US$1,000, at least.
The guys have been living together and training for about two months. Everyone is expected to weight 65kg on the day they fight.
Eh Phoutang will co-host the show with Serey.

I think all trainers and fighters in Cambodia have to stop wear Muy Thai short. Look at the last picture, one man wears Muy Thai short. I’m very ashame to see. Is he train Muy Thai or Kun Khmer?

It is a shame to see muay thai short however, these fighter dont have anything, espcially the fund to buy new short to practice, they were kun khmer short on the ring, I think CTN did provide cloth but not all the equipment and short or glove that each fighter can have. you have to rememebr if CTN provide them short they would all wear it, except those short they got it from a fight or commercial fight or something they got it from. they have no choice. How CTN will see that and learn to change it. Great first show, please make it better for the next one.
