Weekend wrap up

In Friday night main event action at TV5 Em Vutha squared off against Chan Vireak at 57kg and Long Sophy faced current golden boy Lao Sinath at 60kg. Both matches went the distance, with Chan Vireak picking up a narrow victory over Em Vutha and Lao Sinath winning convincingly over a tough Long Sophy.
On Saturday at CTN Leap Samnang faced Sok Sovan in a rematch at 54kg. Samnang got the decision in the first match. Sok Sovan got the decision this time. In the second main event Phal Seyha lost on points to Lao Phaneath at 57kg. Bheut Samkhan was scheduled to fight Chey Sinith, but the fight was scratched at the last minute because Sinith was sick.
On Sunday at CTN veteran Vy Sothun cruised to victory over notable up-and-comer Pich Ek at 67kg. In the second slot, Yin Vannak got a convincing win over Eh Oh at 57kg. In the third another notable youngster on the scene Sourang Ly smashed Khom Piseth with a flying elbow in the second round to win by TKO.
At TV5 crowd favorite Vung Noi KO’d Naim Chenda in the third round with a knee to the head. In the main event Pich Sambath went against Kao Bunheng for a second time in three weeks. Unfortunately for Sambath, this match ended the same way as the first, with Kao Bunheng picking up the decision.

When you say big fighters, what do you mean? Not many active Khmer fighters over 70-72kg at the moment.
