Hong Ramone vs. Long Saylin

Angkor Youth Boxing Club fighter Hong Ramone TKO’d Long Saylin with a leg kick in the third round Sunday at TV5.

While the pace of the early rounds were typically slow, Ramone looked strong from the start. He moved forward with a stiff left jab and one-two combinations, pushing the blue fighter back. Saylin let loose a few times with flurries, but good defense from Ramone kept much from getting through.

The second round opened with the two fighters in the clinch, trading knees. Again Ramone looked stronger and several times blue was picking himself up off the canvass. Half a round gone, Ramone started to find his range with the leg kicks.

The third round opened and the paced increased, with Ramone firing two- and three-punch combinations and landing the leg kicks cleanly. About a minute into the round a leg kick put blue down for an eight count. When the action restarted, Ramone stayed patient and continued to move forward with the jab and one-two. Blue stayed elusive, back-pedaling quickly. Ramone stalked his man to the ropes and let loose another right leg kick that would put blue down for good.
